Photo tips and tricks for iphones and mobile phones
Getting more out of your Mobile Phone Camera
There are so many things to consider when creating a photograph. After all, we all want to get the most from every moment we capture. Especially if that camera happens to be on our mobile phone. So how can you create better images with the camera that’s always with you? Easy, it’s as simple as enabling your camera’s grid lines!
Better Framing equals better photos
Enabling your grid lines will overlay your screen with two vertical and horizontal lines, dividing your screen into 3 sections vertically and horizontally. We know this in the photo world as the Rule of Thirds. These grid lines will help you compose your image, keep your shots level to the horizon and parallel to what you’re capturing.
The idea is to place important elements of your scene along or intersecting these lines. Your viewer’s eyes will naturally gravitate to these areas. We also have a tendency to center our main subject in the middle of the frame. Try placing your subject off-center, to the left or right side of the frame, to create more compelling and interesting compositions.
